Spring Fling (Daytime)

Since 1973, Spring Fling has been the ultimate student festival at Penn. The annual Spring Fling tradition consists of two parts: the night time concert on Friday and the themed-festival on Saturday afternoon. While the SPEC Concerts Committee runs the night time concert on Friday, SPEC Spring Fling (Daytime) Committee runs the daytime festival component. Each April, nearly 10,000 students experience Fling festival from food vendors and inflatables to live performances by student groups, local bands, and much more at Penn Park.

As part of the committee, you will have the chance to plan the marketing, logistics, and sponsorship portion of the festival. From deciding the theme and logo of the year to brainstorming food vendors and activities, there is plenty of room for you to gain experience in event planning and leadership while being part of a community. Additionally, members have the opportunity to apply for sub-chair positions, which are great ways to work closely with the directors and become leaders within the group.

You can join at any point in the year, but be sure to get involved early in order to not miss out on exciting opportunities. By helping out on the day of the festival, you get to drive the golf cart and receive first dibs on food and activities. We welcome anyone who wants to help us plan for the best weekend at Penn.
