Future is an emerging Atlanta rapper who has been likened to artists such as T-Pain. Recently, in 2011, he signed a major deal with Epic Label Group and has since released an album, entitled Pluto. He is expected to release his second album, Future Hendrix, later this year. Future has worked with several top performers such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil’ Wayne. In fact, he is featured in this month’s issue of XXL Magazine, the premiere Hip-Hop publication. We expect big things from him as he makes his first debut in Philadelphia, here at Penn.

Melanie Fiona is a two-time Grammy award-winning R&B artist from Canada. She debuted with her first album in 2009, and has been making headlines since. She is best known for her award winning songs, “It Kills Me” – which appeared on Billboard’s Hot 100, and “Fool For You” – featuring Cee Lo Green. Melanie Fiona will be the first female musical act that has performed at Penn in years. We are very excited to have her.
Opening for Melanie and Future is a local Philadelphia rapper, Chill Moody, who has steadily been picking up steam in the hip-hop world.

SPECTRUM (or the Social Planning and Events Committee To Represent Undergraduate Minorities) is based in the University of Pennsylvania. In the past, we have brought artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, J.Cole, & DJ Diplo, and comedians such as Aziz Ansari & Kevin Hart.
